History
Camp 1155 was founded by Trans Canada Air pilots John Rankin and Ron McLeod in 1963. The following year the camp was incorporated with the goal of maintaining a limited-size social organization based on the conviction that nothing is finer than fresh air, clean water, good friends and BIG BROOK TROUT.
Initially Camp 1155 was a tent camp. In 1967 a permanent six-man cabin was built, and two years later a three-man guide camp was added. These facilities receive gentle upgrading as the years go by, but the rustic, wilderness character prevails.
It is said that the Eagle River system, where Camp 1155 is located, was surveyed by famed naturalist and angler Lee Wulff at some point between 1935 and 1954.
